Adding Fractions with Unlike Denominators
First you make the denominators the same. To do this you need to find the least common multiple for the denominators. Multiply both the numerator and denominator by the same number to make the fractions equivalent while having the same value for the denominator.
Add the numerators together, the denominator will stay the same.
