What is the Periodic Table?

The Periodic Table is a display of chemical elements in a table. The elements are arranged by their atomic numbers.

Each element has an atomic number, a symbol, an atomic mass/ mass number and the name of the element.

What makes up the Periodic Table?

The Periodic Table is made up of GROUPS and PERIODS.

The vertical columns are called GROUPS and the horizontal rows are called PERIODS.

Elements in the same group have similar chemical properties
