  • When you see an expression with more than one operation, follow PEMDAS! PEMDAS is an acronym that stands for:

  • Parentheses: ( ) { }

  • Exponents

  • Multiplication / Division (LEFT TO RIGHT)

  • Addition / Subtraction (LEFT TO RIGHT)

  • "Please excuse my Dear Aunt Sally"
