Important Contest Information

• Contest Date: November 12, 2020 AFTER School

• Contest Format: Will be live via a Zoom session held after school.

• Preparing for the Contest: Watch videos on Schoology of past speakers. Memorize the FFA Creed Word for Word!!! Practice answering questions about the FFA Creed.

• During Class: Check Schoology each day for assignments. You may also work at home on memorizing the creed and practice reciting it to family. Practice and repition is key!

Tips for Memorizing the Creed

• Always start with the following: "The FFA Creed by E.M. Tiffany"

• Learn one paragraph at a time, as you move to memorizing the next paragraph, continue to say the previous paragraphs.

• Make sure you are correctly pronouncing all of the words.

• Stay a consistant speed. Not too fast and not too slow!

Record Yourself

• Record yourself speaking to get used to being in front of a camera for the Zoom contest.

• Also watch for nervous habits such as swaying back and forth or playing with hands/hair/clothing.
