slow- it takes place slowly and low temperature and it produces less heat . Ex :digestion Rapid- it burns rapidly and produces huge amounts of heat .Ex:lpg Spontaneous - It is when it unexpectedly bursts into flame . Explosion- It is when rapid combustion is accompanied by large amounts of heat , light and sound

• complete combustion -The combustion that takes place with sufficient amount of oxygen

• incomplete combustion - the combustion that takes place with insufficient amount of oxygen

• non -luminous - It is the outermost zone that is very hot. Complete combustion , cannot be seen.
• luminous zone- is the middle zone it is luminous and can be seen it is partial combustion, yellow colour
• Dark Zone- it is the inner most part of the candle and , Here no combustion combustion takes place , dark blue color
