Regular Nouns

• We usually add an "s" in order to make a singular noun into a plural noun. For example: A cat=====> cats

• but -If a singular noun ends with the letters x/sh/ch/s/o we need to add "es" in order to make it a plural noun. For example: a box====> boxes, a brush===>brushes, a sandwich===> sandwiches, a bus===> buses, a tomato====> tomatoes.

• If the noun ends with a consanant+ y, we drop the y and then add "ies". For example: a baby====> babies. If there is a vowel before the y, we add an "s" as usual. For example: a toy====> toys.

• If the nouns ends with "f/fe", we drop them and add "ves". For example: a leaf===. leaves
