Conditional Sentences
A conditional Sentence have 2 clauses:
Conditional Clause (if clause) and a result clause
*There is a comma between them when the if cause comes first.*
1. THE ZERO CONDITIONAL: Expresses general truths or habits, and the result always is going to be true (Here we use simple present):
Examples:
- If I find a penny today, I always pick it up.
- If it rains, the grass gets wet.
- If you mix red and blue, you get purple.
- If you study everyday, you going to fail the exam.

2. FIRST CONDITIONAL
This expresses the result of a possible condition.
EXAMPLES:
- If I find a Penny, I will pick it up.
- If I study today, I'll go to the party tonight.
- If I have enough money, I'll buy some new shoes.

3. SECOND CONDITIONAL
This expresses the result of an unreal condition, is like a wish or dream:
EXAMPLES:
- If I found a bag with a million dollars, I would pick it up.
- If I won the lottery, I would buy a big house.
- If I met the Queen of England, I would say hello

4. THIRD CONDITIONAL
This expresses the result of a past event that didn't occur:
EXAMPLES:
- If I had found a penny yesterday, I would have picket it up
- If she had gone on a diet as her doctor recommended, Suzanne wouldn’t have had the heart attack.
- if he hadn't been so nervous in the interview, He'd have got the job.
