Reported Speech
We use it to report or repeat someone's words.

Example:
"I will love you forever", said my boyfriend.
Report:
My boyfriend said that he would love me forever.

More examples:
Fanny said " I am pregnant"
R= Fanny said that she was pregnant.
"She is lying", her best friend Sophie said.
R= Sophie told me that she was lying.
"Are you serious?" I asked Fanny.
I asked her if she was serious.

Say, Tell, Ask
-These are called "Reporting verbs" because they help us to repeat what people said.
-When using tell or ask, don´t forget to use object pronouns after them (me, you, him, her, us, you, them)

Example: "I will love you forever", said my boyfriend.
Report:
My boyfriend said that he would love me forever.
My boyfriend said, he would love me forever.

When we report speeches from another person in a conversation, we usually change the tense of the verb.
