Identify the elements of a story
Identify the different parts and kinds of the plot

If we are aware of how a story makes us feel, we would be more involved in the story. We would also be able to empathize with the characters – to feel and understand what they are going through.
9
How to Determine the Tone and Mood
1.Notice the choice of words and language.
2.Use adjectives to describe the tone.
3.As you read, ask yourself “How does this story make me feel?”. The feeling the story creates is the mood.
