Ledger Lines
Ledger lines are used when notes extend beyond the five lines of the musical staff.

Take Notes:
Just like within the staff, notes alternate between line notes and space notes.
Line notes will have a line running through their middle, while space notes will sit above or below the ledger line.
Because you can't use EGBDF or FACE, the musical alphabet (ABCDEFG) will help you determine what the note names are.
