Remember -- we want to make sure we identify the parts to the ratio and the whole to the ratio before we begin each problem.

Let's look at some part to part examples:
There are 5 dogs for every 6 cats.
There are 12 cars for every 9 people.
There are 10 pieces of pizza for every 6 guests.
