What is an Idiom?

An Idiom is a phrase or an expression that has a different meaning from de literal meaning.

They are the same as refranes in Spanish.

When you see that there's something wrong in a translation, sure, that is an idiom and you have to look for the meaning of the complete phrase or expression, not word by word.
