  •  Students get one opportunity to make up a test/interim/quiz and assignments. (Grade must be 79 or lower and retake grade cannot be higher than an 89).

  • Teachers can enter a zero if students have not submitted the assignment, but change it to a “I” before the end of the semester to determine if the students receive an “I” if they have not completed 80% of assignments.

  • Participation can be counted as a grade (Ex. Student did not submit the class assignment, but the student actively engaged in the class discussion, group collaboration, etc.)

  •  Lesson Plan Checks- Checked weekly by administrator and Department Chair- Due on Friday. Ensure lessons include details/examples. (Should provide clear learning goals for students/administrators/subs)

  • Instructional Framework- Ensure that lessons include (I Do- Modeling, We Do- practice with teacher or peers, opportunities to collaborate and You Do (Independent Practice for remote students/Asynchronous practice for remote students). Remote students should stay logged in during asynchronous work during class period.

  • SEL Instruction- Every A-Day during 3rd block. This week there will be no SEL due to it being a short week.

  • SAT date is 10/27/20 for 12th grade only

  • PSAT date is 10/29/20 for 10th and 11th grade only.

  • URL days will be utilized for 9th, 10th and 11th grade students on 10/27/20 to allow space for 12th graders who will be testing

  • URL days will be utilized for 9th and 12th grade students on 10/29/20  to allow space for 10th and 11th graders who will be testing. Communication will be sent to parents.

Need to know

  • The plan is for no more than 3-5 students per classroom during testing.

  • We are expecting 70 students in the building testing on that day according to a survey completed by students/parents.

  • The PSAT for 9th graders will be 1/26/20 this date is also the makeup date for 10th and 11th grades PSAT and 12th grade SAT..

  • District has a declining trend in SAT scores. A lot of universities are not requiring SAT scores for submissions.

Phase V Updates

  • Asynchronous Days: There will be no more asynchronous days for students or teachers.

  • Attendance- No more participation attendance. Students must either be marked as present or absent. There should be no tardies issued for remote students. Only F2F students can be marked tardy. If students are considered F2F students and they decide to attend class remotely, they are considered absent

Phase V Updates

  • 407 parents selected F2F instruction for their parents. Any parents who did not make a choice were automatically defaulted to F2F.

  • If you choose to utilize the new TEAMS, you must add the students to the new teams and remove them from the old teams. The grades will not transfer to the new Team. However, you can copy the assignments to another Team.
