MODAL VERBS

modal verbs

Modal verbs are auxiliary verbs, they need another verb for making sense.

Modal verbs add meaning to the main verb in a sentence by expressing possibility, ability, permission, or obligation.

 Should

• DEBERIA

EXAMPLE

• Everyone should have a place to live.

• You shouldn’t worry so much about what people think.

Must Mustn't

• DEBER

• To express obligation or duty

• Deduction

• A strong recommendation

EXAMPLE

• My father must be in his office

• You mustn't be here

• you must study for your exam
