Notes and Keys
In this lesson, we will learn about how the notes correspond to keys on the piano keyboard.

Key notes
The keys on a piano are arranged with white and black keys. The white keys are the basic notes we have already learned - ABCDEFG - but to help us find notes, it's easiest to begin with the note C.

Basic Pattern
You'll notice that the black keys are arranged in groups. First two, and then three.

Finding C
Each time you see a group of two black keys together, the note directly below them on the left will be the note C. You can find any C quickly by finding a grouping of two black keys.

Finding F
Just like you found the note C, you can find the note F by locating a group of three black keys.

Fill in the blanks!
Until you've memorized the keyboard layout, you can find any note by simply filling in the blanks between C and F. Remember that the musical alphabet repeats and repeats...
