Responding Skills

Responding skills is what we say after we have listened. Helpful responding has two goals:

1. To show the speaker we understand her or him.
2. To encourage the speaker to continue talking about her or his problem.

Situations

• I am going to give you 10 different situations

• For each situation you will decide which responding skill you would use. THERE IS NO WRONG ANSWER. Everyone's responding skills are different.

• After we vote, type in chat or share out loud how you would use your responding skill to respond to the situation.
