Investigation 3.1 building a circuit- studying the lightbulb filament

2
The part of the lightbulb that produces light is the filament. When electricity flows through the filament, the electrical energy transfers to heat and light energy. The filament gets so hot it glows. This is called incandescence. The glowing filament gives off visible light and feels warm, both of which are evidence that energy transfer has occurred

We are going to watch a video. Study the lightbulb very carefully, including how electricity goes through the wire and its filament itself. The electricity goes into the lightbulb through one contact point, flows through the filament, and returns through the lightbulb casing.
