Adverbs are words that describe verbs.

They give more information about an action by telling how it happnes. To create most adverbs, we can add the suffix -ly to an adjective.

Examples

  • Adjective: She sings with a beautiful voice. (beautiful describes voice)

  • Adverb: She sings beautifully. (beautifully describes how she sings)
