Understanding fire safety and prevention can help avoid causing wildfires

2). Always be careful with fire.

When dealing with fire it is important to be safe to avoid any accidents that may cause a fire or wildfire. that means following all safety rules when handling fire, and putting out one.

3). Never play with matches or lighters

Playing with fire can cause dangerous outcomes that result in a fire or injury and in the most extreme cases death. When playing with fire you can cause damage to property and land that can also result in you and your family being criminally charged and responsible for damages.

4). Always watch your campfire

Not only is it important to make sure you campfire is out, it is also important to watch the campfire to ensure it doesn't get out of control. A fire out of control can cause major damage to land and property. A managed fire can also cause issue with embers or sparks (from fireworks) that fly off and land on dry material causing a fire that is unwanted.

5). Make sure your campfire is completely out before leaving it

Camping can be a fun outing but safety is always a concern and priority. So before leaving your campsite make sure your campfire is completely out and there is no chance it could still have enough heat to re-ignite and start a fire after you and your family has left the site.
