What's the difference between explicit and implicit information?

An inference is...

• a conclusion reached on the basis of evidence and reasoning. Additionally, you use evidence in the text and make a rational decision.

Explicit Information

• stated clearly and in detail, leaving no room for confusion or doubt.

• information is inferred, or not directly stated but implied
