Primary Chords - Triads
Triads (three note chords) are built from scales
Triads are built by stacking letters (from scales)
The first letter of your triad is called "The Root"
"The Root" reveals where you are in the scale (1, 2, 3, 4, etc.), and your Primary Function (Tonic, Subdominant, Dominant)
Triads also carry specific "qualities" (major, minor, dim, etc) based on their location.
"The Root" also determines the "Quality" of the triad (based on placement).
