Let's start with our 3s!

3

3's can be a sinch if you know your 2's!

  • For example, take the problem 3x6. If I separate the 3 into 2 and 1, now I have two problems. 2x6 and 1x6.

  • because I know my 2s and my 1s, this should be really easy. 2x6=12 and 1x6=6.

  • add the 12 and 6 together to get 18!

Now let's learn about our 6s facts!

10

We can use our knowledge of our 3s to learn our 6s.

  • if we know our threes facts, then all we need to do to figure out our 6s is double our 3s.

  • for example, if you have the problem 6x4, we know that 3x4 is 12 and it takes two threes to make six.

  • 12+12 is 24, so 6x4=24.
