What is a measure staff?
A measure staff holds the music to your piece.
Each of the boxes are a measure. A whole line is a measure staff.
3
2 measure clefs
The 2 different measure clefs both mean 2 different things. The clef on the bottom stands for the lower notes on an instrument. The one on top stands for the higher notes on a measure staff.
4
Treble clef
The treble instruments (Clarinet, flute, oboe, ect.) Are the higher sounding instruments so their measure clef is the treble clef.
5
Bass clef
The Bass clef is for the lower instruments (Trumpet, Tuba, Trombone, ect) and their notes are lower.

Notes-Treble clef
The easiest way to think of it is to separate it from line and space. The spaces will spell F A C E. Face. The lines don't spell anything, but do abbreviate the phrase Every Good Boy Does Fine. E,G,B,D,F. Look at the next picture to practice remembering.

Spaces=FACE

Notes-Bass clef
The best way to remember the notes for Bass clef is to separate the lines and the spaces. Look at only the lines. The letter names don't spell anything, but they do abbreviate the phrase Good Boys Do Fine Always for G,B,D,F, and A. For the spaces you can do All Cows Eat Grass for A,C,E, and G. Look at the next slide to really see and memorize and practice the notes.
