Multiplication is an easier way to adding if you haven't noticed multiplication and adding are related. How? Here are 2 Examples:

(Note) Before in lower grades they used to tell you 4+4+4+4=16 and that would take a-lot of your time but now it's 4 x 4= 16.

1) 4+4 =8 Equal to 4 x 2 = 8

2) 2+2+2+2+2+2 = 12 Equal to 2 x 6 = 12
