What is archaeology and why is it important?

Archaeology:
the study of history through things that people made, used, and left behind to understand what people of the past were like and how they lived.
People who study history are called Archaeologists.

Fossil:
Nature made; are the remains or traces of plants, animals, and humans that lived long ago (bones, teeth, skull, etc.)

a man made object, usually an item of from the past/history.
