A user interface is a combination of hardware and software that allows users and computers to interact  and communicate with each other effectively

Hardware Interfaces

A hardware interface is those physical hardware components(input and output devices) that allow the user to manipulate the computer.

Software User Interface

A software interface is the programs that are used to communicate with the computer via hardware interfaces

Menu Driven Interface

This interface is when interaction with a computer is by the user selecting one option from a list of presented options and are usually found on simple computer systems

Graphical User Interface

This interface is when interaction with a computer is by using , windows, icons, menus and pointing devices (WIMP) .

Command Line Interface

 The use of text-based commands to interact with computers. Command Line Interfaces are typically used by advanced computer users such as system administrators and network managers
