Relative Clauses
A relative clause is a type of subordinate clause.
It wouldn't make sense on its own.
They give extra information about a noun.
It's connected to the main clause of a sentence using a relative pronoun - words like who, whom, which, that or whose.

Relative clauses and pronouns
Relative pronouns vary depending on the person they refer to:
‘Who’ refers to a person or people.
‘Which’ refers to a thing, a place or animals. ‘That’ refers to a thing, a place or a person. ‘When’ refers to a time.
‘Where’ refers to a place.
