Can mean "Have to" or "Should" Ex: I'm supposed to work tonight.
Can mean "a contrast" Ex: I'm supposed to be studying but I'm not.
Can mean "What was expected but didn't happen" Ex: He was supposed to call me at 7:00 :(
Has a similar meaning and can also mean "intended to" Ex: He was going to give us directions but he didn't call.
