School House Rock - "Busy Prepositions"

it's a bit dated, but see what you can learn from this video about prepositions or prepositional phrases.

11

Open Ended

What was something you learned about prepositions or prepositional phrases form the School House Rock video?

12

Ending a sentence

  • People used to say you could never end a sentence with a preposition, however, that it not always the case. If you can change the order of the words, great! Sometimes it can just make the sentence unclear.

  • For example: A senator is someone to whom most people upwardly look vs. A senator is someone most people look up to.

  • Is there another way we could word this to not have a preposition at the end?
