IT can
be a very long and difficult job to
get fossils out of the ground because they can be stuck between layers of hard
rock that has to be broken up bit by bit.

How are fossils made?
1. The dinosaur falls in the river
2. The body is covered with sediment the meat decomposes the dinosaur becomes a fossil.
3. The sediment becomes rock the skeleton is pressed.
4. The earths movements raisers the layers of rock to the surface.
5. The rock erodes exposing the fossil

Without fossils we would know very little about dinosaurs and prehistoric life. By studying fossils, scientists can find clues about a dinosaur’s size ,shape , diet , and more.
