After class, you will receive a fill-in-the-blank copy of the notes, in addition to the completed ones. See if you can complete the notes by retrieving the information from your brain. When you finish, compare what you remembered to the actual notes.

Culture: set of beliefs, values, and practices that a group of people have in common

• This includes a shared religion, food, language, style of dance/music, etc.

Culture Trait: an activity or behavior in which people often take part

• Language spoken and sports played

• Similar around the world → soccer played

• Different from place to place, the way people eat

How does culture develop?
