  • They were forced to leave their homeland - stayed in Babylon

  • Persian did not allow to have their king so religious leaders, temple priest and scribes lead the society

  • some of the books tells history of Hebrew, other are books of poetry, literature, proverb

  • Genesis - first book of Torah tells how the God created earth in six days and rested on the seventh day
