Tujuan Pembelajaran

Setelah menerima materi dan diskusi tentang tata bahasa yang terdapat pada materi Showing the existence of people and things, siswa diharapkan mampu menunjukkan keberadaan orang dan benda benda.

Articles

   1. Indefinite articles          

‘a’ , digunakan untuk benda tunggal yang dimulai dengan bunyi konsonan.

‘an’, digunakan untuk benda tunggal yang dimulai dengan bunyi vocal.

 

 Example :

My father bought me a dog.

I give an umbrella to my sister.

   2. Definite articles         

kata sandang tertentu yang digunakan pada bentuk-bentuk kata tertentu saja.

‘the’

Example :

My father bought me a dog. The dog is black.

(Ayahku membelikanku seekor anjing. Anjing itu berwarna hitam.)

Nouns

   1. Uncountables Noun

      Kata benda yang tidak dapat

      dihitung per satuannya.

      Example :

     Hair   : rambut

     Water : air

     Oil     : minyak

     Dan lain lain

   Kata benda yang dapat dihitung

  per satuannya.

   Example :

   Table   : meja

   Chair   : kursi

   Book   : buku

   Dan lain lain

There is and There are

    There is dan There are termasuk

  dalam   agreement.

   Agreement adalah kesesuaian antara

  subjek dengan kata kerja.

  1. There is, digunakan untuk benda tunggal.

   Example:

There is a camel in the zoo.

    (Ada seekor unta di kebun binatang.)

There is an orange on the table.

  (Ada sebuah jeruk di atas meja.)

 

There is and There are

 

 2. There are, digunakan untuk

  benda jamak.

   Example :

There some eggs in the refrigerator.

(Ada beberapa telur di kulkas. )

There are a lot of chickens in the cage.

(Ada banyak ayam didalam

 kandang.)

Prepositions

Preposition adalah kata depan

yang diletakkan sebelum kata benda.

Example :

Such as in : seperti dalam

On           : di atas

Under      : dibawah

In front of : di depan

Below      : dibawah

Above      : diatas
