I can identify whether a sentence is written in active or passive voice

Voice

• Active or passive voice refers to how a sentence is written

• Ideally, we should write in active voice as it is much clearer

• Passive voice often excludes a subject.

Sentence order matters

• Subject/verb/object=active

• Object/verb/subject=passive

For example

• Marcus washed his car. - Active voice

• The car was washed by Marcus. - Passive voice

• I left my keys at home. -Active

• The keys were left at my house. -Passive
