Lets look at what happens when a denominator gets larger

What happens if the denominators are the same and numerators are different?

19

Compare equal denominators

Comparing fractions with equal denominators is easy because that means the parts are the same size. If the denominators are the same size, you count which one has the most parts or the largest numerator. The one with the most parts is the biggest.
