• Our GOAL IS TO ISOLATE THE VARIABLE

• This means to have something like (p=20) written down to tell us the solution of the equation.

• When applying the INVERSE OPERATION (opposite), you must balance out both sides by applying it to BOTH SIDES of the equal sign.
