When solving an equation with a variable...
Our GOAL IS TO ISOLATE THE VARIABLE
This means to have something like (p=20) written down to tell us the solution of the equation.
When applying the INVERSE OPERATION (opposite), you must balance out both sides by applying it to BOTH SIDES of the equal sign.
