What is Stars?

Stars are heavenly bodies,Which shine like our sun. Many shine brightly, the others have a dim glow. Some are red while others are blue.Stars are giant balls of gas made of hydrogen, bound together by their own force of gravity. The energy that makes them shine comes from a kind of power plant in their interior, where atomic nuclei of hydrogen atoms are fused together to form helium atoms. The Stars do not live forever and 'die' at some point.many simply get extinguished,While very heavy stars expand and explode. Their remains become either a neutron stars or a 'black hole'.

3

How are Stars born?

star is born when atoms of light elements are squeezed under enough pressure for their nuclei to undergo fusion. All stars are the result of a balance of forces: the force of gravity compresses atoms in interstellar gas until the fusion reactions begin.

4

Why do all stars not shine with the same intensity?

intensity of light coming(reaching the Earth) from stars is very less as compared to that coming from sun. So that stars aren't visible during day but at night, due to darkness , stars are visible and due to refraction of the light rays by different layers of atmosphere, stars shine .

5

How do Stars 'Die'?

Most stars take millions of years to die. When a star like the Sun has burned all of its hydrogen fuel, it expands to become a red giant. After puffing off its outer layers, the star collapses to form a very dense white dwarf.
