Back to back verbs

It happens when we have two verbs back to back in a sentence.

For example:

Yo quiero bailar = I want to dance

¿Tú quieres cocinar?= Do you want to cook?

Nosotros queremos ir al parque = We want to go to the park

  • The first verb is conjugated but the second is not.

  • We always conjugate the first verb in the sentence.

Necesitar is an AR verb and it means "to need"

Yo necesito comer ahora = I need to eat now

Tú no necesitas ir a la tienda = You do not need to go to the store.

This is when you use the verb "gustar" (to like)

Me gusta ir a la escuela pero no me gusta hacer la tarea. (I like to go to school but I don't like to do homework).

The verb gustar

Me gusta (I like)

Te gusta (you like)

Le gusta (he or she likes)

Nos gusta (we like)

Les gusta (You all like)

Les gusta a ellos (they like)

Ejemplos con "Gustar"

(A mi ) Me gusta cocinar en la mañana.

(A ti ) Te gusta jugar fútbol.

A Marissa le gusta tocar la guitarra.

A ella no le gusta tocar la trompeta.

A nosotros nos gusta ir a la playa.

A ustedes no les gusta comer pollo.

A ellos les gusta mirar la tele.
