9
10
Multiple Choice
What is the first step to creating a function?

Function Structure
like formulas, a function must also start with an equal sign in the first character of a cell
13
=SUM
The function name indicates the operation to be performed, such as sum.
14
Function Structure
Arguments are the information you want to use in the function's calculations
can refer to both individual cells and cell ranges

16
Common Functions
There are hundreds of functions taht you can use. They are grouped into many different categories such as financial, statistical, date and time, and math functions.

Some of the most common Functions you will use are
=SUM which adds all the values in a range of cell
=AVERAGE which calculates the average of the rante of cells by summing the cells and dividing that value by the numbr os cells used to find the sum.
=COUNT which counts the cells with numerical values in the range of cells
=MIN finds the smallest value in a range of cell
=MAX finds the largest value in a range of cell
18
