We normally use a present tense after conjunctions of time although the time reference is future. Time conjunctions include:
after
Come round after you finish school.
as soon as
You must visit us as soon as you’re feeling better.
before
Before I leave, I’ll phone Tom.
until
I won’t celebrate until I hear my results.
when
Are you going to change your name when you get married?
22
We can use the Present Perfect after a conjunction of time if it is important to show that the action in the time clause is finished.
I’ll feel like a good holiday after I’ve finished these exams.
Phone me as soon as you’ve heard from Tim.
I’m not going to settle down before I’ve seen more of the world.
I won’t tell anyone Cora’s news until I’ve spoken to her.
When we’ve saved enough money, we’ll go travelling.
