is a word that expresses an action or a state of being.

  • Tells what someone or something is doing

  • Example: The farmer grows corn.

Linking verbs

-Connect the subject with a word that describes it.

-am, is, are, was, were, has been, will be, seem, become, stay, feel.

-Example: I feel happy.

She is tall.
