Attribution at the end
using quotation marks correctly

2
If the attribution comes at the end of the quote there are rules that must be followed.
3
The actual words that are being said still are put in quotation marks, and the quote starts with a capital letter..like before
"Be quite"
4
If the quote is not a question or exciting it is followed directly with a comma..inside the quotations.
"Be quite,"
5
The attribution then directly follows the quotation marks...and is followed by a period.
"Be quite," said John.
6
If the quote is exciting or a question, it is directly followed by a ! or ? inside of the quotation marks.
