 $\frac{1}{2}\ +\ \frac{2}{3}$  Now lets solve this, 
 

first make the denominator same  $\frac{1\ x\ 3}{2\ x\ 3}$  then in second fraction  $\frac{2\ x\ 2}{3\ x\ 2}$  now the fraction becomes


  $\frac{3}{6}\ +\ \frac{4}{6}\ =\ \frac{7}{6}\ =\ 1\frac{1}{6}$

Lets convert improper fractions to mixed fraction
