The Ionian philosopher, mathematician, and founder of the movement known as Pythagoreanism, lived between 570 BC and 495 BC.

His best known proposition is the Pythagorean theorem, named after him.

Pythagoras and his students believed that everything is about mathematics, that numbers are the ultimate truth, that everything can be predicted and measured through mathematics.

TETRAKTYS

Tetractys (Greek: τετρακτύς), or tetractys of the decad ‘a, triangular shape arranged in four rows of ten points: the fourth triangle with one, two, three and four dots in each row is the geometric representation of the number. As a mystical symbol, it was crucial to the secret worship of Pythagoreanism. There were four seasons, and the number was also associated with planetary movements and music.
