Climates
Climate is the average weather conditions in a place over a long period of time—30 years or more. And as you probably already know, there are lots of different types of climates on Earth.

Climatic Zones
Climatic Zones: are divisions of the Earth's climates into general climatic zones based on the average temperatures and average rainfall in an area. This is also affected by the location, or latitude of the zone. The three major climatic zones on the Earth are the polar, temperate, and tropical zones. Temperatures in these three climatic zones are greatly determined by the amount of sunlight it receives.
