WHAT ARE VOLCANIC MOUNTAINS ?

A volcanic mountain is a mountain that is made up of an accumulation of materials that are ejected from the earth’s crust. All volcanic mountains come about as a result of volcanic eruptions. A volcanic eruption is the process whereby very hot liquid rock is forced out suddenly and with a lot of pressure from the earth’s crust. The ejected materials or molten materials keep building up until they form a mountain. These types of mountains are called volcanic mountains. Another name for volcanic mountains is mountains of accumulation.
