El Pretérito (-ar)
Conjugating in the preterite follows the same process as conjugating in the present tense. The only difference is you use preterite endings (-é, -aste, -ó, -amos, -asteis, -aron).

When you want to talk about actions completed in the past, use the preterite tense. To form the preterite of a regular –ar verb, add the appropriate preterite ending to the verb’s stem.

o Notice that the first and third person singular forms have an accent over the final vowel.
o The nosotros(as) form is the same in the preterite as in the present tense.
