Similar Figures

Figures that are the same shape, but different sizes. All of the corresponding angles are congruent.

Similar figures have a scale factor. In the image Triangle DEF is 2 times triangle ABC.

Congruent figures have the same size and same shape. Two figures are congruent if we can use rotations, translations and reflections to get one shape on top of the other.
