What is the Simple Future Tense? 

• The simple future is used to talk about things that have not happened yet.

The Simple future tense has two different forms in English:

• "will" and

Will + VERB

• I will help my mother with the chores later.

Going to + VERB

• I am going to watch Tenet at the cinema tonight. 

• Are you going to study for the test later? 

• My mother is going to visit the hairdresser this afternoon.

"Will" often suggests that a speaker will do something voluntarily, or respond to someone else's request for help.

• I will send you the information when I get it.

• I will translate the email, so Mr. Smith can read it.

• Will you help me move this heavy table?

“Will” is also used as a promise. 

• I will call you when I arrive.
