Emotions happen on the inside.
Responses can happen on the inside or outside.
Emotions and Responses are very related! We want to recognize our Emotions and then take control of our Responses.

There are 4 zones of regulation:
Green Zone
Blue Zone
Red Zone
Yellow Zone

calm
relaxed
focused
content
happy

Blue means:
tired
lonely
bored
sad
disappointed

Red means:
enraged
inconsolable
hysterical
terrified
angry

Yellow means:
silly
excited
worried
scared
frustrated
